Bay Guided Services Fishing Report
August 2nd, 2008
The Fraser River continues to drop and the salmon fishing has finally turned on! We have had a Sockeye salmon opening for the past several days and although the river closes to retention of Sockeye at 9pm July.30 it was great to get an opening. Sturgeon fishing remains good and as of August.8th the size restriction on Chinook salmon will be lifted!

Our Fleet of custom Jet boats
Fishing tournaments and Corporate outings are our specialty!!
The
Fraser River
The Fraser River has been producing some nice salmon and some great Sturgeon
fishing opportunities over the past few weeks. The opening of the Sockeye
run and the dropping and clearing of the Fraser river have allowed some great
bar fishing opportunities as well! August is a great month to do an 8 hour
combination trip mixing both salmon and sturgeon fishing into your fishing
charter. We are also offering 4 hour evening trips for Sturgeon or Salmon,
(Book Now) Sturgeon fishing is catch and release only in B.C. and all
fish caught by Harrison Bay Guided Services are tagged for the Fraser River
Sturgeon Conservation Society.

Salmon and Sturgeon combo trips are great fun!

Chehalis
& Vedder Rivers
Both the Chehalis and Vedder River systems are open for trout fishing and
Chinook salmon as well. There are Chinook salmon throughout both rivers but
we could use some rain for the Chehalis river to turn on.
The Harrison River

Great Scenery!
The Harrison River has good numbers of Cutthroat trout and whitefish through out the river. The Harrison River is a great place to spend a day this time of year with plenty of wildlife and some good fishing opportunities as well. Most of the Stickleback fry have now spawned and there are fry through out the system. The Harrison bay area has been very good trolling small crocs or using small fry patterns. There are also a few Sockeye moving about throughout the Harrison River but they are catch and release only in this system! Harrison Lake has also been a great bet for Cutthroat trout. Try fishing along the gravel bars and creek mouths for best success. Minnow patterns and small spoons have been working best. Our local lakes are all producing good trout action on leeches, mayflies, and even some damsels. Try a halfback nymph for good success. Power bait and worms fished from the shore will also produce.
